White Chocolate Valentine’s Day Oreos Recipe
Happy Valentine’s Day! I wanted to make a quick, easy, and delicious Valentine’s Day treat so I decided to make some White Chocolate Valentine’s Day Oreos. These are super simple to make, and great for giving out to classmates or as a treat for teachers. The kids can help make these as well by sprinkling on the toppings.
I was able to find these adorable heart shaped sprinkles, as well as red sanding sugar, at my local grocery store, buy you can order heart sprinkles as well as other sprinkles in Valentine’s Day colors online as well here.
1 package Oreo cookies
12 oz white chocolate chips
red, pink, or heart shaped sprinkles
*You will also want to prepare a non-stick surface to lay your chocolate-covered Oreo cookies on to dry. While I prefer to use my reusable non-stick baking mat, wax paper will work as well.
Prepare a non-stick surface to lie your Oreo cookies to dry.
Melt white-chocolate chips in either a double boiler (recommended) or in the microwave, carefully stirring at 30 second increments.
Dip Oreo in melted white chocolate, using a spoon to help remove the covered Oreo. Hold Oreo above the bowl for a couple seconds to let the excess chocolate drip back into the bowl. Place Oreo on non-stick surface and immediately sprinkle on your chosen topping. Repeat until you have dipped and decorated all your Oreos.
Allow Oreo cookies to dry completely before serving (I like to give them a full 24 hours).
